Tea was introduced to Morocco in the 19th century by British traders returning from Asia. This tea is quite sweet.
- Pour water into a 2-quart glass bowl. Cover and microwave on high for 8 minutes until just boiling. Little bubbles will appear on the water surface.
- Add sugar, tea and mint leaves. Cover with a lid or plate and let steep for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir gently.
- Pour tea through a sieve into glasses.
I really enjoy sweet mint teas. This one was perfect. I made it every day for a week. What a great way to serve green tea. Thanks for sharing this great recipe that I will make again and again.
I used decaf green tea bags, mint from my plants. I loved the tea. I did use a little less sugar. Thanks!
Halved the servings and indeed, love the minty smell. Next time I'll lessen the leaves, heat them less and strain them right away as it tends to become too strong. I'll still make them though with these few changes as I like green tea with mint flavor especially during winter. Thanks! Made for Recipe Swap #21.
