  1. Put shin beef, beans and water, salt and pepper in large kettle.
  2. Cover and simmers 3 hours.
  3. Remove meat from bones, add to soup.
  4. Add onion, garlic, carrots, celery, cabbage, potato and parsley.
  5. Brown ground beef and add to soup. Cover and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 30 minutes.
  6. Add zucchini, green beans and spaghetti. Simmer until spaghetti is cooked, about 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Top with cheese and basil.
