- 1⁄2 cup almonds
- 1⁄4 cup butter, melted
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1⁄8 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cardamom
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 6 chicken breasts, boned
directions
- Place all ingredients, except chicken, in a blender and process until well mixed.
- Pour over chicken and bake at 350 degrees F. for about 50 minutes or until done.
- Serve with the suggested condiments listed in the description above.

Mmm. Well i liked the ingredients, but decided to play a little. Used chicken joints. Added lemon juice to the mixture and a little water or you´ll never blend it. Upped the Cumin to a small tsp. Just used a knob of butter and plenty of olive oil. End result? Very nice. And served with sliced potatoes with onion, olive oil, S & P, and a dash of rosemary baked as the chicken

After all these years I'm trying to get all my index cards and clippings, that still sound interesting to me, posted here so that I can find them and eventually make them! <br /> <br />I've posted some of my Mom's recipes. I regret not having paid more attention to my Grandmothers' cooking. They made some dishes that I miss and there were/are no recipes for them. <br /> <br />I have a wonderful DH and 2 wonderful sons. They are thrilled that I found this site since they directly benefit from it! Before finding 'Zaar, I was less of a cook and more of a recipe collector but now I try many more things and we're having more fun in the kitchen (at least I am)! <br /> <br />Thanks for all your ratings, comments and help in the forums AND for posting so many great recipes. You've enhanced my cooking skills and expanded my horizons!
