Always a huge hit at BBQ's. Can be assembled and then frozen in advance. Also, can halve the recipe easily. The lemons are the key.
Directions:

Preheat oven 350 degrees.

In large heavy Dutch oven fry bacon; remove and chop coarsley; set aside.

To the same skillet, add onions and garlic; cook until transparent.

Turn off fire.

Add pork and beans, sausage, ham chunks, brown sugar, parsley, lemon juice, barbeque sauce, reserved cooked bacon and green onions.

Season to taste with salt and pepper.

Mix well and turn into greased 3 quart casserole dish.

Bake 30 - 40 minutes or until bubbly.

This was very good, I think I would drain the pork & beans next time- it was a little bit more liquidy then I prefer. I might also omit one of the meets, probably the smoked sausage. Loved it though!

Yummy, yummy. Hubby loves smoked sausage, pork n' beans and rice, and I wanted to use my dehydrated food storage (ham, bacon and onions). Everyone was happy with this one. It's definitely a keeper.
