- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup elbow macaroni (uncooked)
- 1⁄2 cup onion (chopped)
- 1⁄2 cup green pepper (chopped)
- 1 garlic clove
- 1⁄2 cup vegetable oil
- 24 ounces tomato juice
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
directions
- Saute beef, macaroni, onion, green pepper, and garlic in hot oil until macaroni turns slightly yellow. Drain off excess fat. Add tomato juice and seasonings; bring to a boil. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes. Uncover and simmer for several more minutes or until sauce is reduced to desired consistency.
