Less-Cook Pound Cake With Lemon Glaze
"An old favorite from Candy's childhood. The lemon glaze is so easy it seems doesn't seem fair!"

Cake Ingredients
- 3 cups plain flour
- 3 cups sugar
- 1⁄2 cup shortening
- 1 cup margarine
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon extract
- 1 cup milk
- 5 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda

Glaze Ingredients
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice
directions
- Preheat oven to 325~.
- Mix all cake ingredients with mixer, blend well.
- Pour into greased/floured tube or bundt pan.
- Bake for 70 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Mix glaze ingredients (you may have to adjust) and pour over cake.
