- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups sugar
- 1⁄2 cup all-purpose flour
- 4 lemons, juice of
- 2 grated lemons, rind of
- 4 eggs, separated
- lemon, knots (to garnish)
directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F Mix all ingredients except egg whites and beat until smooth. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold into mixture.
- Place in greased 12 x 8 x 2-inch casserole dish. Place casserole, uncovered, in pan containing 1 inch of hot water and bake 50 minutes. Cool and garnish with lemon knots. Serves 6-8.
