Loved this drink. My husband went out to find the anise and came back with anise extract which I decided to try anyways. I used 1/4 tsp. but will try a bit less next time, I still hope to find the anise seed or powder so that I can see if there is a difference in the flavor or taste. Considering that I don't like black licorice I loved this drink.

Fabulous! The perfect combination of sweet and tart. A nice thick slush with just a hint of anise, one of my favorite flavors. I loved the lemon/anise combo. Different, delicious and very refreshing. I used water in a half recipe which was perfect for one. Thanks, chia, for posting!

Chia, I loved this drink! I was a bit scared because I had bought some ground star anise and didnt want to waste it. So looked up recipes with anise in it and found this. Granted, it is winter here in Florida but I lovedddd how refreshing this drink was! Perfect for summer and I also used water:) Also, for those with powdered anise, I used 1/4 tsp.
