- 1 (16 ounce) can pinto beans
- 1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1⁄4 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 2⁄3 cup sour cream
- 3⁄4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- tortilla chips

Salsa ingredients
- 1 large chopped tomato, seeds removed
- 1⁄3 cup chopped black olives
- 3 tablespoons sliced green onions
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
directions
- Mix the first 7 ingredients together in a bowl and mash with a potato masher.
- Spread the bean mixture on an 8" pie plate.
- Spread sour cream over the top.
- Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
- Mix salsa ingredients together in a small bowl.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least two hours.
- Just before serving, drain salsa and spoon over cheese.
- Arrange the tortilla chips around the dip.
