My variation of an apple dumpling recipe from a wonderful lady from Louisiana. This is a family favorite.

  • 12 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

  3. Open package of crescents, unroll dough and slice into 8 equal rectangles (ignoring the perforations).
  4. Combine cinnamon and 2 tbsp sugar in a small bowl.
  5. Take an apple quarter and roll in cinnamon sugar mixture covering well, place 1/2 butter pat on apple and roll in a section of dough. Make sure dough covers entire apple quarter making sure all seams are sealed.
