1. This was the first time I ever attempted to make my own refried beans. I loved that you could use the crockpot! It turned out really well. I added quite a bit of salt, to taste. I LOVED the lime flavor. It really made this recipe stand out. Next time, I might add the whole jalapeno, since I like things hot. I did use the queso fresco and loved that addition! Thank you for posting! Made for the ZWT7 for the Golden Gourmets.

 2. This was great - first time I made my own refried beans from scratch and we loved this. I needed to add a bit more salt for my taste, and I think more garlic would also add too it, but as it was, we couldn't stop eating it. Just a hint of lime was evident in each bite. I'll definitely make this again. Thanks for posting - made for ZWT7 and the HOT PINK LADIES.

I live in Minnesota (brr) and enjoy cooking, reading, and relaxing. My real name is Brianna so feel free to call me by that name. I have just finished my first year of college. Looking forward to cooking over the summer :)

Also, if you were wondering about my username that is because whenever I sign up for a site that requires a username this is what I would use (since it is unique and when I first came up with it I was reading Tom Sawyer). I guess I could change it but I haven't.
