This recipe will suite diabetics and anyone needing a sugar free recipe—alternately, regular ingredients can be used.

Directions

  1. Boil water and pour into 2 quart jug.
  2. Add tea bags.
  3. Steep until cooled.
  4. Add lime cordial.
  5. Add liquid sweetener to taste.
  6. When thoroughly cooled, pour into individual bottles and refrigerate until needed.
  7. Pour into tall glass with ice, and enjoy.

Yum! The whole family really enjoyed this tea. I couldn't find orange pekoe tea bags so I used T2's loose leaf citrus punch. It was perfect with the lime cordial and honey. Thanks so much jenny butt for posting your recipe.

I've made this for our family lunch tomorrow but thought I'd sample it tonight. Very refreshing. I used regular lime cordial and didn't add very much sugar. In fact if I was making it for myself I probably wouldn't add any sugar as the lime cordial was sweet enough for me. This is going to be a regular recipe for me over our hot summer. Thanks for posting Jenny.

Wonderfully refreshing summer drink! It is worth following the instruction about adding the liquid sweetener to taste, I added a bit at a time and found about 25ml was to my taste.
