I love Green Tea, I can never seem to get it strong enough to serve over ice. So, I added a regular tea bag and a hint of Orange. This is a wonderful iced tea. You can add sugar if you prefer "sweetened" tea.

  1. Fill 1 qt sauce pan w.
  2. water (almost to top).
  3. Add Green Tea Bags, regular tea bag and orange zest.
  4. Heat to boiling, reduce heat to medium.
  5. Simmer 5-10 minutes.
  6. (Water will reduce) Remove from heat, cool, pour into 2 quart Pitcher and add water to fill pitcher (add ice cubes first, then water to serve instantly) Refrigerate.

Very nice, Shannon. And, yes, I did need to add some Splenda! The zest was a deal maker. And the tea ratio was just right. Thnx so much for posting. Made for Comfort Cafe Summer 2009.

Love this recipe. I prefer it without sugar or sweetner. When I make it, I ususally double the recipe and keep it in the refigerator for up to a week.

Very pleasant iced tea. Drinkable with or without sugar.
