  1. Very soothing and comforting drink. One of my favorites.

  2. I modified this slightly and used equal parts cider and cranberry juice. I also added a couple of cinnamon sticks (can't believe the recipe didn't include this). I made a big crock pot full for a party and people could then add rum if they liked. It was delicious.

  3. This is so great on a COLD winter night ~ you know, the kind we get here in Southern California's high desert! I know, I know, some of you silly people still live up north [like I used to, years ago!], but guess what: You can still enjoy this beverage, even if it's below zero outside! I this particular combination of flavors! Great recipe, Lainey! Thanks so much!

  4. Another wonderful drink from Lainey! I always know I can count on her. This was sweet and warming with an undertone of spices. I made it according to the recipe and enjoyed it very much. Thanks for another keeper!

  5. This will warm you from the inside out! I reduced the recipe to a single serving and heated it in my micro for a couple of minutes, covered it and let it steep for 20 minutes, zapped it again until hot, and then strained it. I think this would be great to have in a crock pot simmering away durning a holiday party.
