Hot Fudge Sauce - so Good!

"I have had this recipe so long I don't know it's origin - but I do know it's fantastic. If you recognize it and know where it came from, please share it with me! Incredible hot but I eat it by the spoonful from the fridge too - shh! Makes a great gift! I prefer Dutch Process cocoa but regular baking cocoa is great too."

• Serves: 6-8

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup granulated sugar
• 1 1⁄2 tablespoons butter
• 1⁄2 cup corn syrup
• 1⁄4 cup cream (light or coffee cream)
• 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
• 1⁄4 cup cocoa

directions

1. In a saucepan over a medium heat, melt the butter and sugar together with the corn syrup, cream, vanilla and a pinch of salt, stirring constantly. When it's smooth add the cocoa. Continue to stir constantly, letting it come to a boil. Cook 2 minutes. Serve over most anything!
