Hot Chocolate With Rum
"This decadent recipe is by Christophe Côte, Les Fermes de Marie's chef in the fashionable French town of Megève. Perfect to serve to guests after Christmas dinner on a cold winter night!"

ingredients
- 1301.24 ml whole milk
- 118.29 ml heavy cream
- 29.58 ml dark rum
- 255.14 g bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped
directions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the milk with the cream and rum and bring to a simmer over moderate heat. Remove the pan from the heat, add the chocolate and let stand until melted.
- Whisk until smooth, pour into warmed mugs and serve.

I used a mix of skim milk and light cream and heavy cream. So very yummy. Will definitly make again. Made for Comfort Cafe tag an 2009 -

MMMMMM...deliciously naughty! Had two and loved both and slept like a baby! What's not to love--warm half & half *am I bad or what?*, rum,chocolate, and whipped cream. Thanks for posting this belly-warmer, Cheryl!

I had to do some diabetic lightening here. I used skim and F.F. evap milks. So it wasn't as rich, creamy and sensual as I would have liked. On the other hand it was chocolate and rum and seriously under 77% fat and it was still yummy. I loved it. -
OH MY my my my..... These are wonderful...I made them 'virgin' for those who didn't want to try them w/rum...and then added 2 tbls in each cup for the rest of us WHOOPS!! Thank you Cheryl for the perfect warm 'er' up 'er' !!

I had the time of my life!!!

Our family is rounded out with 6 Bengals, 1 Jack Russell Terror named Harley, a ferret named Mason, giant gold fish, a water dragon named Crusoe, a Beautiful Appaloosa/Arabian named Sassy, a stunning Palomino Quarter Horse named Sweet Pea and a gorgeous black Standardbred named Domino! We also have added a Leopard Appaloosa rescue horse to the mix. Her name is Pebbles and she is lovely!

I love Zaar! I have so many wonderful friends here and I really enjoy being a Forum Host. I love the games in the Contest & Events Forum! The games are addictive and a great opportunity to meet the members of this community. I had a blast co-hosting the first Zaar World Tour 2005 with ~Leslie~. Zaar World Tour II doubled in size and ~Leslie~ and I were joined with co-hosts Mama�s Kitchen and kzbhansen. Zaar World Tour 3 doubled again in size and Leslie, Mama's Kitchen and I were joined with SusieD, PanNan and JustCallMeToni! We also established the "Whine and Cheese Gang" which was a wonderful team that was put together to help all the teams playing. Zaar World Tour IV will be bigger and even better!!!
