- 1⁄4 cup quinoa
- 1⁄4 cup currants
- 1⁄4 cup pecans
- 1⁄2 cup ground almonds
- 1⁄4 cup rolled oats
- 1 teaspoon buckwheat honey
- 2 cups water
directions
- Wash quinoa in several changes of water to remove saponin. Boil it in 1 cup of water for 5 minutes. Add rest of water then the rest of dry ingredients. Cook on high heat until boiling again. Turn down heat add honey and stir until thick.
- Pour into bowls let sit for those who like it firm the heat in microwave 1 minute to reheat.

Mainly set this up for my lactose-free conversions from over the years and just plain healthy food. Very little in the way of short cuts will be found here other than the occasional canned tomatoes or coconut milk.
