I use red or wholegrain quinoa which increases the cooking time. If you are using thr heart then wash quinoa and cook all dry ingredients together, ignoring the added cooktime at the beginning.
- Wash quinoa in several changes of water to remove saponin. Boil it in 1 cup of water for 5 minutes. Add rest of water then the rest of dry ingredients. Cook on high heat until boiling again. Turn down heat add honey and stir until thick.
- Pour into bowls let sit for those who like it firm the heat in microwave 1 minute to reheat.
