ingredients
- 29.58 ml olive oil
- 473.18 ml finely chopped red onions
- 44.37 ml minced garlic
- 59.14 ml rice vinegar
- 29.58 ml Worcestershire sauce
- 4.92 ml chili powder
- 473.18 ml whole canned plum tomatoes (with juice)
- 7.39 ml kosher salt
- 2.46 ml pepper
- 22.18-29.58 ml prepared horseradish
- 9.85 ml Tabasco sauce
directions
- Heat oil in a heavy medium saucepan over medium heat.
- Add onion and cook, stirring often, for about 10 minutes, until the onion is softened.
- Add the garlic and cook an additional minute longer.
- Stir in vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, and plum tomatoes, and let simmer and thicken 5 minutes, breaking up tomatoes with a wooden spoon or spatula.
- Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients, then blend until smooth.

My screen name is a diminutive in Lithuanian for bread, so you won't be suprised to learn that I love to bake bread. In recent years I have been baking a lot of sourdough breads and have several starters sitting in my refrigerator. But I like to cook a lot of other things, as well, especially from various cultures. The cat wishes I would concentrate on meat and fish... I joined a few years ago but started posting recipes and participating in forums just recently - I wish I had done so earlier.
