I was looking for a recipe for honey french the other day but couldn't find one that was quite what I wanted. I ended up combining various different recipes and this is what resulted.
- 1⁄4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1⁄4 cup ketchup
- 1⁄4 cup olive oil
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried mustard
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 6 -8 drops Tabasco sauce
- Whisk together ingredients in a small bowl or measuring cup.
- Chill (overnight is best) to allow flavors to combine.
A nice dressing that I enjoyed with lettuce, beets, tomatoes from the garden. Thanks! Made for the 123 Hit Wonders game.
Made for PAC Spring 2009. Excellent salad dressing. When I chose this recipe, little did I know that I was going to have to begin making all of my own salad dressings. This was a great first attempt at making my own salad dressing and it was pretty easy. I would recommend this to anyone who needs to make their own dressing or wants to. Thanks for posting this Flower!
Most Icelanders eat their green salads "undressed", but I prefer dressing & often make my own. I tagged this recipe early today & had it made & in the fridge w/in minutes. I made 1 sml chg when I split the 1/4 cup ketchup into 1 oz ketchup & 1 oz chili sauce (which I often do). It was great on 1 of those *everything from the fridge* mixed green salads tonite w/other leftovers. I liked this a lot, so thx for sharing the recipe w/us.
