I was making our normal salmon and sweet potato dinner and needed a green veggie. I wanted something different than butter and salt and was pleasantly surprised.
- 1 cup French style green bean (fresh or frozen)
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 teaspoon honey
- sliced almonds
- Cook the green beans as directed.
- When nice and hot, pour over butter and honey in a bowl and sprinkle with salt to taste. Mix then put sliced almonds on top.
Great flavorful green beans, making this a sweet and savory side dish. The honey butter doesn't over power the green beans. I accidentally omitted the almonds even though I had them in a dish ready to go. Made for the Bargain Basement tag game.
