    jass1202's Note:

This sauce tastes like sauce from a jar Only this is homemade easy to make yet so good. I learned to make this recipe when I worked in a pizza shop this is what we used and it was said to be the best sauce ever. I divided the recipe servings so that I could make it at home for just 2 pies of pizza. its also great for dipping breadsticks.

This is the BEST pizza saiuce I think I have ever had! The only thing I did different was I added dark brown sugar in place of white sugar, lots of crushed red pepper flakes, some adobo seasoning and I added some minced shallot because I had one that needed to be used. FABULOUS!!!!!!!! 10 stars!!!!!

Delicious! I made this last night and we loved it. I had a 12 oz can of tomato paste, so I doubled the recipe and froze the leftover. I also omitted the sugar since we don't really care for sweet sauce. This couldn't be quicker or simpler. I really recommend people give this a try. Can't wait to try it with breadsticks! Thanks jass!

I was planning on having pizza bread for lunch... whipped this up and without a doubt it's the best pizza sauce I've ever had! I added just a smidgen of ground black and white pepper. It reminds me very much of the sauce I recall from an old-world pizzeria from my youth. Delicioso!
