Homemade Chocolate Pudding Recipe

"From Taste of Home website, tweaked a little to our liking (original recipe was double this and a little too sweet and needed to be thickened)."

ingredients

• 1⁄3 cup sugar
• 1⁄4 cup baking cocoa
• 1⁄3 cup cornstarch
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 2 cups whole milk
• 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

directions

1. In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt. gradually add milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat; boil and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from the heat; stir in butter and vanilla.
2. Spoon into individual serving dishes or ramekins.
3. Serve warm or chill until ready to serve.
