  • Heat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cut meat into 1" cubes.
  • Coat with flour.
  • Melt shortning in skillet.
  • Brown Meat.
  • Add Onion.
  • Cook & stir until onion tender.
  • Pour into ungreased 2 Qt casserole.
  • Sprinkle with 3 tbs flour, salt pepper, thyme and garlic salt.
  • Pour water over mixture, cover casserole.
  • Bake 45-60 minutes until meat is tender.
  • Increase oven temp to 450 degrees.
  • arrange potatoes on meat.
  • Sprinkle salt & paprika.
  • Bake uncovered about 30 minutes till potatoes are tenter.
