- Preheat oven to 375 deg F/190 deg Celsius Grease 18 cups of 2 1/2 inch muffin pans.
- Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and the spices in a bowl.
- Mix in a bowl the applesauce, melted butter and eggs.
- Stir this into the dry ingredients until moistened. Stir in 1 1/2 cup oats and the raisins.
- Spoon the batter into the muffin cups, and sprinkle tops with rest of oats.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, until a skewer inserted comes out clean. Remove from pans.
