My son loves apple cinnamon oatmeal and this was the perfect recipe to cook before church. The only thing I did differently is add a little more brown sugar.

Directions

  1. Place milk, water and sugar in saucepan.
  2. Chop apple into small, thin chunks. Add it and the dried fruit to the milk mixture.
  3. Heat the mixture on medium until boiling or near boiling.
  4. Add oats and cinnamon and cook for 3-5 minutes stirring occasionally. If desired, also add honey, brown sugar or maple syrup.
  5. When oatmeal is cooked, add vanilla.
