Fabulous, fabulous cake. So easy to do ! I am mad about semolina and it gives the best texture. I did think there was too much syrup at first but that was not the case. All in all this worked perfectly for me. Made ZWT6.

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Mix semolina flour, sugar, yogurt, baking powder and butter.
  3. Pour into greased 9-inch round cake pan.
  4. Arrange sliced almonds on top.
  5. Bake in oven at 350° for 45 minutes. Top should be slightly brown.
  6. For Syrup: In small saucepan, combine sugar, water and lemon juice. Boil for 10 minutes. Let cool. Pour cold syrup over hot cake.
