Green Chile Swiss Steak

"This is outstanding comfort food. We typically serve with mashed potatoes and Macaroni & Cheese. I have the butcher tenderize my meat at the market. You can also use cube steak. This can be made on the stove or in the oven, or in a crock pot."

  1. Yummy ~ Comfort food with a little kick! & is really great with smashed potatoes!! I followed your recipe with the exception of the 2 garlic cloves and the stewed tomatoes, cuz I didn't have them to add in; so, I sauted the onion, replaced the garlic w/ garlic granules and added a 28 oz can of Garlic & Herb spaghetti sauce (ya, I was surprised too), then cooked it on the stove top for about 1 1/2 hrs!! WOW, it came out soo good!!! I will Definately make this again with your list of ingredients, crock pot style! Thanks for posting this recipe!!
