  1. This came together so easily! I was amazed! My cookies are still currently cooling as we speak (the oven time was perfect! Usually I have to take them out a bit earlier than projected.) I am so excited for these cookies because I'm sure if they taste as good as they smell, it will be more than easy to keep my shelves stocked with these easy ingredients. I also agree with the reviewer below, there are so many possibilities!

  2. Surely, someone has made this before I just did today!!! What a wonderful cookie! I was a little afraid of the butter ratio but it was too easy not to try! Sanding sugar is currently in the house so that was the deciding factor! I enjoy a cookie with more "give" than a white sugar cookie and this will become a permanent recipe in my personal file! I'll be using it in a sugar cookie variety pack for a fundraiser this weekend! (I used unsalted butter so added 1/4 tsp. salt with the flour...also couldn't resist adding a little vanilla with the egg!) I want to try it again with maple! Maybe add a few pecan pieces on top, too! Or a maple glaze instead of dipping them in sugar! Oh, the possibilities!!! Regardless, a great stand-alone sugar cookie!!!
