Gooey Butter Cake

"This is one of my childhood favorites! It's a sweet, gooey cake that is yummmm!"

• Serves: 10-12

ingredients

• Bottom Layer

• 1 (18 1/4 ounce) box yellow cake mix
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon water

• Top Layer

• 1 (8 ounce) package softened phil cream cheese
• 1 (16 ounce) box powdered sugar
• 2 eggs

directions

1. Bottom Layer:.
2. Mix by hand with spoon and press into a greased 9x13” pan with spoon.
3. Top Layer:.
4. Mix cream cheese with powdered sugar. Beat eggs lightly. Add to cream cheese mixture.
5. Pour on cake and bake at 350°for 40 minutes. Cool before cutting.
