Gluten Free Baking Powder

A sure way to make sure that you are not using commerical baking powder that has gluten in it. I use this recipe all the time because my son cannot eat gluten.

i just wanted to let you all know that baking powder does NOT contain gluten. however, this is the substitute for baking powder and it is still gluten free.

Directions

  1. Combine the teaspoon of Cream of Tartar and the 1/2 teaspoon of Bi-carb soda.
  2. Mix into 1 cup of Gluten free plain flour and sift into a container to ensure that the cream of tartar and bi-carb soda is mixed through the flour.
  3. Use as desired in Gluten Free Recipes which require self-rising flour.
