ingredients
- 236.59 ml butter or 236.59 ml margarine, softened
- 354.88 ml sugar
- 3 eggs
- 4.92 ml vanilla extract
- 236.59 ml flour
- 59.14 ml baking cocoa
- 118.29 ml walnuts, chopped
- 396.89 g can sweetened condensed milk
- 236.59 ml coconut, shredded

For icing
- 473.18 ml confectioners' sugar
- 59.14 ml baking cocoa
- 73.94 ml evaporated milk
- 29.58 ml butter or 29.58 ml margarine, melted
- 2.46 ml vanilla extract
directions
- In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
- Combine flour, cocoa and walnuts; add to the creamed mixture.
- Spread into a greased 13-inch x 9-inch x 2-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Combine condensed milk and coconut; carefully spread over the hot chocolate layer. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until coconut is lightly browned.
- Combine icing ingredients until smooth.
- Spread icing over warm bars.
- Refrigerate at least 1 hour before cutting.

Made these up to take to a potluck here in the mobile home park, & they were [in my humble opinion!] the hit of the dessert table! People thought they were sooo small at first, but their richness makes up for size! Definitely a keeper recipe, & something I want to add to 'bars cookbook!' Thanks for the recipe!
