Wonderful side dish--goes well with many other main course dishes.
- 1 lb fresh mushrooms
- 5 tablespoons butter
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 1⁄2 cups milk
- Wash, dry and slice mushrooms.
- Cook in butter till tender.
- Add salt, pepper and flour; mix thoroughly.
- Add milk gradually and simmer for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring constantly.
These were good, but they were pretty soupy. I will make these again, but next time I will up the flour and decrease the milk. Thanx for the recipe.
