  1. I followed as written but had no luck with this recipe. The egg/milk mixture was too thin and in the pan one slice of bread just slid off the other so I began over again adjusting the ingredients to suit our personal taste. I spread 1 tbsp Cherry-Orange-Pineapple Marmalad on one slice of bread and buttered the other slice to bind them together. I added only 2 tbsp milk to the 1 egg which covered the sandwich perfectly, dusted with sugar but omitted the cream, and topped with more of the marmalade. I like the idea and will continue to experiment with different flavors of jam and toppings. TFS but because I changed so much in the recipe I cannot give it an honest star review.

  2. I can't believe I am the first reviewer of the very yummy recipe! I made it for breakfast for myself AFTER the kids left for school. hehee I used my homemade freezer peach jam for both the middle and instead of the ice cream topping. I opted not to use the cream as I don't like soggy bread. This was so tasty and I can't wait to make it for my family! Made for the November Aussie/NZ recipe swap.
