  • Break eggs into a wide shallow dish and add the milk and vanilla extract.
  • Beat mixture with a fork.
  • Dip the bread into the egg mixture; let the excess run off; place in a buttered pan.
  • Cook for 1 to 2 minutes.
  • When it is golden underneath, turn the bread over and cook other side.
  • Transfer the french toast to a plate.
  • When done, serve with ground cinnamon or sugar.
