- 1 cup margarine, softened
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 3⁄4 cup confectioners' sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 ounces strawberry jam
directions
- With mixer, beat together margarine and cream cheese,.
- Add confectioners sugar, Beat until fluffy, scraping sides of bowl occasionally.
- Beat in the flour and vanilla until well blended.
- Cover and chill for about 1 hour or until easy to handle.
- Preheat oven to 350 f.
- On lightly floured surface, roll one-third of the dough to 1/8 inch thickness, Using 2-1/2 inch cookie cutters, cut into rounds.
- Place rounds on ungreased cookie sheet. Place level teaspoon of your favorite jam on one half of each round. Fold over other half, seal with tines of fork. Brush with milk.
- Bake 15 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool on wire rack.
- If desired drizzle with a Confectioner Sugar Icing.
