-
1 cake
ingredients
- 4 eggs
- 473.18 ml sugar (If possible Try to use Vanilla Sugar, it's sold in the baking aisle in yellow envelopes under the 'D)
- 709.77 ml flour
- 236.59 ml oil (Sunflower is best. Any "light oil" like vegetable oil. Please don't use any of the "olive" oils beca)
- orange, flavour
- 354.88 ml fanta orange soda
- 9.85 ml baking soda
- 4.92 ml vanilla (you don't need this if you used vanilla sugar, but if you REALLY like vanilla a lot, go ahead and ad)
- 425.24 g can sliced peaches, drained
- 236.59 ml sour cream
- 236.59 ml whipped cream (That Vanilla Sugar I told you about earlier, right next to it in a blue envelope is something called)
- 78.78 ml sifted powdered sugar
- cinnamon
directions
- For the cake: mix together the eggs, sugar, vanilla and oil. Add flour and then Fanta and mix well. At the end, mix in the baking soda then turn immediately into an ungreased 9 X 13 inch pan. Bake at 350°F for 30-45 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool.
- For icing: Whip cream until stiff and then fold in the soured cream and powdered sugar and "Whip it"/"Sahnesteif". Put peaches on the cake and then top with the icing. Serve chilled.
- Note: People in the United States should NOT be looking for "Sahnesteif", they should be looking for "Whip it". If you're in a German speaking country - you should be looking for "Sahnesteif" not "Whip it". No matter if you are in America or Europe - it's in the baking aisle and "Whip it"/"Sahnesteif" is ALWAYS in a blue envelope right next to the yellow envelopes of Vanilla Sugar. If your store doesn't sell it - you can always buy it off the internet.

Very busy nanny/au pair, working for a very rich and snooty family, in a very large home, in a very snooty village. Just in case my employer comes here, please don't ask where I am from, or I'll be sacked like the last nanny was. ;-) I take care of 4 gorgeous, and darling kids. 3 girls and a boy. The boy is the youngest (and my favorite). They are great children, very, very active. (Hyper)
I love to cook. I guess that's a given, why else would I be here. Part of my job is also to prepare meals for the family. The more they like my food, the longer I get to stay. (just a little joke)
On my day off, I usually go out to the cinema or some dance clubs with the other au pairs in this town. That's about it I think.
