- 1 1⁄2 lbs extra lean ground beef
- 2 tablespoons dried onion
- 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 (7 ounce) can mixed mushrooms or (8 ounce) package fresh mushrooms, sauteed
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can vegetable soup
- 1 (16 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1⁄2 cup milk

Topping
- 1 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 cup shortening
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon celery seed
- 1⁄4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon poppy seed
directions
- Cook meat, onions, parsley and garlic.
- Stir in salt, pepper, mushrooms and soup.
- Simmer 15 minutes.
- Add sour cream and milk and heat through.
- Place in baking dish.
- Topping.
- Mix flour, baking powder, paprika, salt, celery seed and pepper.
- Cut in shortening.
- Add milk and stir just until moistened.
- Drop by tablespoon on meat mixture.
- Sprinkle with poppy seeds.
- Bake in 400°F oven for 20-25 minutes.
- For OAMC freeze before baking. Thaw and bake uncovered.
