Elaine's Mother's Brisket

"This is a recipe that a former co-worker gave me. It makes a very rich and moist brisket. The horseradish and mustard cut some of the richness and adds some needed "tang".Prep time is marinade time."

  • Combine marinade ingredients and pour in to a large plastic zip lock bag.
  • Add meat.
  • Place bag in refrigerator for 24 hours.
  • Remove meat from marinade.
  • Sprinkle generously with salt.
  • Bake at 300 degrees, covered for 2 hours.
  • Remove meat from pan.
  • Slice meat against the grain.
  • Return to pan for 1 more hour.
