ingredients
- 8 slice bread, cubed
- 118.29 ml butter, melted
- 473.18 ml milk
- 2.46 ml salt
- 2.46 ml dry mustard
- 5 eggs
- 226.79 g cheddar cheese, grated
- 473.18 ml diced ham or 473.18 ml cooked sausage
- 113.39 g mushrooms
directions
- Grease 9 x 13 glass pan.
- Mix bread with melted butter.
- Add cheese, ham or sausage, and mushrooms.
- Place in baking dish.
- Mix and beat eggs.
- Add milk and seasonings.
- Pour over mixture in pan.
- Cover with foil.
- Refrigerate overnight.
- Bake 1 hour @ 325° with foil removed.
- Remove from oven.
- Let stand for 10 minutes.
- Do not overbake.

Wow is not good enough for this recipe!!!! I made it for brunch for some friends at Easter. It got the thumbs up from everyone. I did not do it all the night before as I had no room in the fridge, but it still turned out fantastic! I used a french stick for the bread and followed the recipe to the letter. It was absolutely fabulous, and I will certainly be making it again and again and again. Thank you so much for that.
