  • Sift dry ingredients.
  • Combine milk, egg, and oil and add to stew (should have at least 3 cups of liquid -–add boiling water if necessary).
  • Place cover on pot and cook for 15 minutes without removing cover.
  • Serve at once.

  2. These were *really* good! I grew up on the Bisquick variety, but haven't had much luck making those, since I never seem to have baking mix in the house. I was hesitant as this recipe had an egg in it, but this recipe was just as easy as the Bisquick kind, and honestly had a lot more flavor! I'll be using this again. Thanks!

  4. I chose to make these dumplings because they called for oil and stirring instead of shortening/butter and cutting ;) As far as I can tell it was a good call. Saved the hassle and they were delicious. Very fast to prepare. I added them to a vegetable sausage soup, and it turned it into the perfect comfort food for the night. My husband and 2 yr. old loved them. Thanks!
