We had left overs from the night before. We had used our Ronco rotisserie for a full chicken and there are 3 of us. We decided we wanted Chicken Soup and pulled the chicken into pieces. Added some seasoning and chicken broth and then decided the snow made chicken and dumplings is what we wanted. The Dumplings are the best we have ever had and so easy. We actually made them about a quarter of the size recommended and they stayed wonderful the next day making a GIANT stockpot of soup.

Very good. Made dumplings for the first time last night to add to a homemade chicken soup. I 1/2 the recipe and added 1 teaspoon ground pepper to the mixture. I decided to roll out the dough (a little thicker than a pie crust) and cut into little strips that I then cut into squares (saw this on Triple D). I added to the chicken soup and simmered for about 12 minutes and served to the family. Everyone loved it, reminded my husband of his grandmothers dumplings.

This is an excellent recipe. I have never made dumplings before, and they came out perfect. I substituted soy milk for the milk because of our allergies. I also used 1 3/4 cup whole wheat flour instead of white flour. We had nice fluffy dumplings in our chicken soup. Cook for fifteen minutes instead of only ten.

My husband and I love to cook. We are always trying new recipes and adding to old ones. We BBQ every weekend and always have a crowd of friends over to taste our creations! Usually we are watching Nascar and/or football while we BBQ!
