ive been messing around with several recipes and this is the combo i like best . can freeze these and heat in toaster or microwave the bacon or bananas i are optional
I used 2 cups milk and 2 tablespoon of vinegar. It gives a lot of waffles. Perfect for the mornings when we're in a hurry. The waffles are light and crispy outside. They were great with maple syrup. Thanks Dee :) Made for 123 hit wonders

I made these exactly as posted. I think beating the egg whites made these especially light, but you had to be careful stirring them into the batter....otherwise it made it too dense. DS ate his with butter and maple syrup, but I had mine with Nif's Simple Strawberry Sauce 414810. I only got 4 2 waffles out of this batter...must be my waffle iron! Great Sunday morning breakfast. These are a good basic waffles. I cut the recipe in half (except the vanilla) and had plenty for two of us. I used buttermilk in place of the milk/vinegar since I had it on hand and probable used most of a cup. After my first waffle I added a little more sugar, & vanilla. DH enjoyed his with butter and sugar free syrup - I topped mine with cooked cinnamon apples, a not too sweet carmel drizzle and whipped cream. Thanks Dee from Unruly to another! Made for ZWT 6
