Crock Pot Hawaiian Chicken Breasts

  • Chop onions using only 1" of green tops.
  • Saute in 1 tablespoons.
  • of butter until glazed.
  • Transfer to crock pot.
  • Coat chicken breasts in seasoned flour.
  • Saute in butter until brown on both sides.
  • Transfer to crock pot.
  • Drain pineapple, pour juice over chicken.
  • Cover and cook on low 3 to 4 hours (high 1 1/2 to 2 hours) or until breasts are tender.
  • Saute pineapple slices in butter until golden.
  • Place on heated plate.
  • Top each with a chicken breast.
  • Slice avocado into 8 lengthwise strips.
  • Place 2 strips on each chicken breast.
  • Serve pan drippings over rice.

  1. The prep for this was incredibly easy. I liked the flavor of the chicken and it was fork tender. I think when I make this again I may add some pineapple chunks to the crockpot to make it a little sweeter. I omitted the avocado strips as my family does not care for them.
     
  2. This was a very easy recipe, but tastes average. Maybe a little bland.
     
  3. pretty good- i took some liberties with the recipe. cubed the chicken and added 14.5 can of crushed pineapple and a tbs. of lime. served over rice. could have used a little more seasoning on the chicken but i'm not sure what.
