A blend of the Southwest and Northeast with this delicious take on a Mexican classic. This is a great Autumn party drink. From Rachel Ray.
- 1 1⁄4 cups cranberry juice
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1 1⁄2 cups fresh frozen cranberries, rinsed
- 3⁄4 cup fresh-squeezed lime juice
- 3⁄4 cup tequila
- 1⁄2 cup Grand Marnier
- Mix all the ingredients, except for the ice.
- Pour half of the mixture in the blender and fill the rest of the blender with ice.
- Repeat with second half of mixture.
We enjoyed this very much! Having leftover fresh cranberries from the Holidays, we decided to give this Margarita a try. The fresh lime juice compliments the cranberry juice and berries perfectly. I used just a touch more sugar than the recipe calls for and also used Cointreau in place of the Grand Marnier. Running a cut lime around the rim of your glass and then dipping the rim in sugar and adding a slice of lime is a pretty touch to complete your serving : ) Thank you, barefootmommawv.
This was great! I loved it. I did cut back on the lime a little bit just becuase we usually think that less is more when it comes to lime. I used triple sec instead of the Grand Marnier. Other than that i wouldn't change a thing. It makes so much too that it would be the perfect party drink. Thanks so much for sharing!
