No this does not have corn meal in it. I got this recipe over 30 years ago from a coworker. My husbands favorite.
- Mix ingredients well with a spoon pour in a well greased 9x13 pan bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes depending on oven.
- Watch and do not over bake.
- Cool well cut into squares.
How can you call it Corn Bread Cake when there is no CORN in it?
The recipe I have for this cake calls for the pecans to be ground in a food processor. The ground pecans give the cake a "cornbread texture". <br/><br/>Nice cake, not overly sweet.
