- Heat oven to 325. Combine butter and sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed. Add cocoa, water and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Reduce speed to low and add flour. Beat until well mixed. Stir in macadamia nuts by hand.
- Shape dough into 1" balls. Place 1" apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until set. Remove from cookie sheets and cool completely. Roll in powdered sugar.

AMAZING! It was easy to make and OH so good. I ground up the macadamia nuts in my food processor first and then tossed them in with the rest of the ingredients. If you like shortbread cookies, this is better---because it has cocoa in it! The cookies melt in your mouth. Whenever I make these, I double the recipe and give out a bunch as gifts. Everyone loves them. When I was out of macademia nuts I used pecans with some almond extract as well. Still turned out great. Thanks for posting this!
