Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

"A basic, easy to follow, pretty standard cookie."

ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup white sugar
• 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
• 1 cup butter
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 2 1⁄2 cups flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 12 ounces chocolate chips

directions

1. Cream room temperature butter and sugars until lightened and fluffy.
2. Add eggs and vanilla, scrape down and mix well.
3. Add flour, salt and soda, mix until about half combined.
4. Add chocolate chips, mix until combined.
5. Portion with a 1.5 ounce scoop for 5 dozen cookies.
6. Portion with a 1 ounce scoop for 7 dozen cookies.
7. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes.
