Cindy's Sugar Free Homemade Applesauce

This is an old recipe I got from my mother years ago, but have changed to be sugar free. You can use sugar instead of Splenda if you choose. I use MacIntosh apples but any soft apple will do.

Directions

  1. Put diced apples into a saucepan. Add water. Simmer, covered until cooked down, mash up any chunks left.
  2. Take off heat and add sugar or Splenda and cinnamon; mix. Serve warm or refrigerate.

I'm always interested in finding another applesauce recipe & here's my one for this month! I made it as given (with the Splenda sugar substitute) & with very satisfying results!
