The Season is here!! I love to cook for everyone and here is one of my favorite recipes, this is just a little different from my usual recipe but I'm going to try it this year.

  1. Cream in bowl shortening and brown sugar.
  2. Stir in molasses, vanilla and well beaten eggs.
  3. Sift three times flour baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and salt.
  4. Add half to the egg mixture.
  5. Mixed together raisins, fruit, and cherries. Sprinkle remainder of flour mixture over fruit mixture.
  6. Add to the previous mixture.
  7. Drop by teaspoonful onto greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake 12-15 minutes in a 300F oven.
