Chocolate Cheesecake

"If you like heavy duty chocolate you will love this cheesecake.I found the recipe many years ago in a copy of Bon Appétit. Many people have enjoyed the cheese cake and have requested it often."

  • Preheat the oven to 300 degrees.
  • Mix the vanilla wafer crumbs, cocoa powder and powder sugar together.
  • Melt the butter and mix in to the crumbs and powder mix.
  • Press in the bottom of a spring form pan.
  • Bake for 10 minute.
  • Beat the cream cheese until fluffy.
  • Mix in the can of condensed sweetened milk.
  • Melt the chocolate in a pan stirring constantly over low heat.
  • Mix the melt chocolate chips into the cream cheese.
  • Next stir in the 4 eggs one at a time.
  • Now mix in the vanilla.
  • Pour into the spring form pan.
  • Bake for 60 to 65 minutes.
  • Monitor your temperature and cooking time to obtain the desired texture of the cheesecake. The long the cooking time the dryer the cheese cake. Test with a tooth pick.
